Tinnitus Accoustic Neuromodulator App.

A new tinnitus Application (App) will soon be available to download from this website. The Acoustic Neuromodulator App will allow tinnitus sufferers to customize a sound which induces temporary residual inhibition (TRI) of their particular type of tinnitus. The TRI can last for a few minutes, or longer. Users will be able to select the frequency (range 50-10,000 Hz), bandwidth, and volume of the sound that best brings about TRI for their tinnitus. Sounds for the left and right ears can be selected separately. These sounds can then be saved in mp3 format, and played on mp3 players. The sounds can also be mixed with music. See screenshot below.

The Acoustic Neuromodulator App will be available for iPhones and Android mobile phones.

The Acoustic Neuromodulator App is intended to be the first in a series of affordable downloadable tinnitus software applications. New updates on Neurotechno's research into Tinnitus will be posted on this website.

Matlab GUI.

A new Matlab LMD GUI (Graphical User Interface) will soon be available to download from this website. The GUI enables users to load data, choose the number of LMD iterations, and automatically decompose the data into a set of Product Functions (PFs), at the press of a button. The GUI displays the PFs and their envelopes (instantaneous amplitudes), the LMD instantaneous phases, and the LMD instantaneous frequencies. The GUI automatically calculates the corresponding LMD Spectrum, and the LMD Time-frequency Representation (TFR). The number of frequency bins, and the degree of Gaussian smoothing for the TFR, can be selected by the user. All the plots can be printed, and all the data can be saved. See screenshot below.

The LMD GUI will be available at a special introductory price. The price will include free software support. Please note that commercial use of LMD and the LMD GUI, requires the purchase of a separate commercial license.
